Rogues Island - Women's T Shirt
Roger Williams was a Puritan minister and theologian who is credited as having been the founder of Rhode Island in 1636. He was a staunch advocate for religious freedom and separation of church and state. The state got the nickname “Rogues Island” due to the number of buccaneers and their piracy of goods and services bought and sold, all without paying taxes to England. Early critics of the state called it “The sewer of New England”. This Roger Williams, First In Freedom T shirt is a send up to our states history and founder.
